12-yr-old girl raped at madrasa in Alwar

Alwar: A 12-year-old girl was allegedly raped by the son of a maulvi at a madrasa in Gwalda village under the Chaupanki police station area of Bhiwadi in Alwar district. An FIR was registered Tuesday under BNS sections related to rape and the POCSO Act, and an investigation was initiated.According to the girl's father, she was admitted to the madrasa for studies on May 2. The father alleged that the maulvi's son gave the child intoxicating substances and raped her. The family has further alleged that the accused raped her again on May 7. After the minor girl informed her family, the father approached the police and lodged a complaint. The family has also alleged that the minor has been receiving threats from the maulvi and his associates since the complaint was filed. Police said the survivor, a resident of Uttar Pradesh who was staying and studying at the madrasa, underwent a medical examination Tuesday. Around 50 girls are reportedly residing and studying at the madrasa. Trainee RPS and Chaupanki Station House Officer Kapil Gupta said the accused allegedly raped the girl on May 2 and May 7 and threatened her when she objected. He said police are trying to trace the accused. tnn
