Players from over dozen states enter finals of Para National Ranking TT Championship
Indore: Nitish (Tamil Nadu), Ajay GV (Karnataka), Shivam Pal (UP), Vidya Kumari (Bihar), Vijaya Deepika (Telangana), and Kanchan Ban (Rajasthan) were among the prominent names, who stormed into the finals of the Para National Ranking Table Tennis Championship on Friday, being held at Abhay Prashal.In the women's section, Vidya defeated Haryana's Ekta Bhyan in the Class 13 semifinal, while SJ Rajyalakshmi of Karnataka overcame Vaishnavi Sutar of Maharashtra to set up the title clash. Vijaya Deepika secured her place in the Class 4–5 final with a straight-set victory over Gujarat's Kajal Makwana, while Kanchan Ban outclassed Dhvani Shah of Gujarat in Class 7.In men's action, Nitish recorded a 3-0 win over Ravindra Yadav of Haryana in Class 9, while Ajay defeated fellow Karnataka player Shashidhar Kulkarni in Class 8. Uttar Pradesh's Shivam Pal also impressed with a commanding 3-0 win against Karnataka's Najim Khan in Class 7.Other notable qualifiers included Baby Sahana (Tamil Nadu) and Mahak Kaur (Haryana) in women's Class 9, Savita V Vazankanti (Karnataka) and Pragati Keservani (UP) in Class 8, as well as Delhi's Natania Jain and Madhya Pradesh's Devyani Wahle in Class 10. In the men's draw, Sandeep Dangi (Haryana), JD Madang (Tamil Nadu), Trivendra Singh (UP), and Sumit Sehgal (Haryana) also advanced to their respective finals after hard-fought matches.
