PG exam forms delayed at DAVV, thousands of students left in limbo

Indore: Thousands of postgraduate students at Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya are facing uncertainty ahead of their final semester examinations as submission of forms is stalled.The delay, attributed to a pending software update on the MP Online portal, has disrupted academic planning at a crucial time.The university has proposed to conduct second semester examinations between May 12 and May 22. However, with the exam form link yet to be activated, students across govt and private colleges have been unable to complete the mandatory application process. Many have been making repeated visits to the university campus in search of clarity, adding to their anxiety.Officials said the issue stems from the introduction of new postgraduate subjects under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, implemented from the 2025-26 session. This is the first batch of one-year PG courses, including programmes such as MA, MCom, MSc and MHSc, which require updated subject mapping in the system. The MP Online software is yet to be aligned with these changes, leading to the delay.Controller of examinations Ashesh Tiwari said that the form submission process was initially scheduled to begin on April 5. Due to technical constraints, it is now expected to start next week. Students are likely to get time till April 25 to complete their applications once the portal is functional.The delay has created confusion among students, many of whom fear last-minute complications. With limited time left before examinations, the situation has raised concern about preparedness and smooth conduct of the upcoming exams.
