Now, book evening & night aartis at Mahakal temple on its website
Ujjain: Devotees visiting Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple can now book online for the evening and night aartis, similar to the existing Bhasma Aarti booking facility. Administrator Pratham Kaushik launched the online booking system for the Sandhya Aarti on Thursday. The temple management committee set a fee of 250 per devotee for both aartis. This allows devotees to sit before the deity in the hall, while the rest of the crowd will offer prayers and keep moving in a queue. Bookings operate on a first-come, first-served basis for 1,200 people each, an official release from the temple trust said. The decision to digitalise the booking process for Sandhya Aarti and Shayan Aarti was taken to ensure transparency, better management, and convenience for devotees. Bookings can only be made through the temple's official website, it said.Online booking for Sandhya Aarti opens daily at 12:00 PM, while booking for Shayan Aarti begins at 4:00 PM each day. Entry for both aartis is designated through Gate No 1. The last entry time for Sandhya Aarti is 6:00 PM, and for Shayan Aarti it is 10:00 PM.Mobile darshan continues to operate during both aarti timings, allowing devotees to access worship in an orderly manner.
Following the launch, Kaushik inspected the aarti venue, entry routes, counter arrangements, technical control room, and portal operations. He instructed officials to ensure the online booking process remains transparent, accessible, and technically robust. Kaushik also completed the first online booking for Sandhya Aarti when the portal went live. The temple committee stated this digitalisation measure enables devotees to book aartis from home and improves crowd management at the temple premises.
