Minor among two arrested after vandalism across city

Indore: A late-night trail of smashed windscreens and shattered glass across parts of Indore led to the arrest of two, including a minor, while another minor remains on the run. The accused, linked to a string of vehicle vandalism cases reported from Chandan Nagar and adjoining areas, were taken into custody by Chhatripura police.ACP Shivendu Joshi said two persons, including a minor were arrested and one more minor is on the run.In a public display aimed at deterrence, one of the accused, Dhruv, was paraded in the locality holding his ears and made to chant that committing crime is a sin. Officials said action is also being initiated against the parents of the minors under relevant legal provisions.Investigators are examining CCTV footage from Chandan Nagar, Chhatripura and Malharganj police station areas to establish whether the same group was involved in all incidents. Police said they are preparing to ensure compensation for affected vehicle owners as per legal provisions and further action will follow once the remaining accused is traced.
