NEW DELHI: A chilling video has surfaced showing the horrific moments when a truck went out of control and rammed into vehicles and pedestrians at Indore’s Bada Ganpati square.In just a few seconds, a bustling evening at one of Indore’s busiest crossings turned into a nightmare. The square was soaked in blood, screams filled the air, and flames rose from a burning truck.
The scene was chaotic, with mangled vehicles scattered across the road and injured people crying for help as locals risked their lives to pull them to safety.Construction workers, daily commuters, shopkeepers, and people at the nearby temple rushed in to save whoever they could.The incident occurred on Monday evening on Airport Road near the Bada Ganpati temple. A truck, reportedly carrying cardboard sheets, lost control and struck eight to ten pedestrians and several vehicles, including two two-wheelers, an e-rickshaw, and an auto-rickshaw, before coming to a halt. Amid the chaos, one of the two-wheelers trapped under the truck caught fire, quickly engulfing the vehicle.Police confirmed three deaths, including Lakshmikant Soni, a professor at Medicaps University, while eyewitnesses fear the casualty count may be higher. The truck driver has been arrested.
