Foundation stones for solar park, KV building to be laid at IIT-I today
Indore: Foundation stones for key infrastructure projects will be laid on the campus of Indian Institute of Technology, Indore,(IIT-I) on Monday. A few new facilities are also set to be inaugurated on the campus. Board of Governors chairperson Dr K Sivan will preside over the event. He will lay the foundation stone for a solar park and a new Kendriya Vidyalaya building on the campus.The institute will also inaugurate CGS Advanced Research Complex. It houses 10 laboratories, 24 faculty cabins and 96 student workspaces. An augmented reality and virtual reality lab, named SwasthyaXR, will also be launched under IIT-I Drishti. It is the institute's technology translational research park for digital healthcare. The lab is expected to support applications in medical training, simulation and digital health research. IIT-I is also setting up a 1 MW land-based solar power plant. It will be integrated into the campus energy system.
