Fire destroys three buses in Indore parking area

Indore: A fire broke out in a private parking area near Teen Imli in Indore on Saturday night, leaving three buses gutted and triggering panic in the locality.The blaze, which occurred under Bhanwarkuan police station limits, sent thick plumes of smoke and flames into the sky that were visible from a distance, drawing a large crowd to the spot.Police teams from Bhanwarkuan rushed to the site soon after receiving information and began clearing the area to ensure safety of people nearby. Fire brigade personnel also reached the location and launched firefighting operations. Several fire tenders and water tankers were pressed into service to contain the flames.Traffic head constable Mukesh Lashkari, who was among the first responders, said he noticed the flames and immediately alerted bus drivers by blowing his whistle.Drivers were instructed to move their vehicles out of the parking area at once. More than 25 buses were parked there at the time and were swiftly shifted, preventing the blaze from spreading further. Traffic personnel simultaneously dispersed the crowd and regulated movement on the road to avoid congestion.According to police, the fire initially erupted in one bus and quickly spread to two others parked nearby. All three private buses were completely destroyed in the incident. Assistant Commissioner of Police Vijay Choudhary from Juni Indore division said there were no casualties.Police said the exact cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
