Woman found murdered, cops suspect hubby’s role
Hyderabad: A 32-year-old woman was found murdered with her throat slit late on Saturday in IDA Bollarum. The deceased was identified as Meena Devi, a resident of Bihar Colony in IDA Bollarum. Cyberabad police said they got a call on Saturday night from a man named Anil Jha that his wife was killed by unidentified miscreants who also attacked him. "In the preliminary inquiry, we learned that Anil and Meena, both from Bihar, were residing in IDA Bollarum for the past 25 years. According to Anil's statement, they were returning home from a vegetable market at 9 pm on Saturday when their motorcycle broke down along an isolated stretch of road. Right then, three or four unidentified men came out of nearby bushes and dragged Meena away," police said."Anil said he fled from the spot in fear but soon returned, concerned for his wife's safety. Upon seeing him, the attackers allegedly slit his wife's throat and also attacked him, and then fled with his bike," police said. Police, however, added that they found inconsistencies in Anil's version of events. "There was no evidence of sexual abuse nor of theft. He is being questioned," police said, adding that they are probing whether Anil killed his wife and later staged the incident.tnn
