HYDERABAD: Deputy chief minister Bhatti Vikramarka on Wednesday assured that budgetary allocations for minority welfare schemes would be released without further delay. He said this when a delegation led by govt advisor Shabbir Ali and minorities welfare minister Adluri Laxman Kumar met him and told him about delays over fund releases. They held a review meeting on ongoing initiatives and expediting pending schemes under the minorities welfare department. Later, Shabbir Ali told media that both Bhatti and Laxman assured that all efforts would be made to fast-track implementation and ensure the timely release of funds. The Congress govt allocated 3,591 crore to the minorities welfare in the 2025-26 budget, including 840 crore for self-employment schemes. tnn
