HYDERABAD: Defying the stategovernment''s ban, the Peoples War has decided to observe ''martyrs commemorationweek'' from July 28 to August 3.
In a statement on Saturday, PWspokesman M Bhaskar said that public meetings and torch processions would beorganised in villages of north Telangana during the week.
"Thesacrifices made by hundreds of PW activists had paved way for the strengtheningof the organisation in 14 states," he said, adding that 48 cadres were killed innorth Telangana alone in the last one year.
"The ban cannot stop thePW from paying tributes to the martyrs and stop people from attending thecommemoration programmes. The sacrifices made by the cadres will help free thesociety from oppression," Bhaskar said.
