KTR alleged Sanjay and CM hid Bageerath for 9 days in POCSO
Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao alleged that both union minister Bandi Sanjay and CM Revanth Reddy hid Bandi Bageerath, who is accused in POCSO case, for nine days due to the association between Sanjay and Revanth Reddy and injustice was done to a girl.He also asked them to reveal who conspired to file a counter-case against the girl’s family, labelling it a ‘honey trap.’ He mentioned that Bandi Sanjay’s son got a court order stating he had no relation to the case and expressed that such a disgraceful situation should not happen to any father. KTR questioned why Bandi Sanjay, who claimed his son had no relation, later said he handed him over to the police. He stated that nowhere in the country can POCSO case accused escape for nine days, and it was only possible due to the support of the CM and the fact that the accused was a union minister’s son.Speaking at a press conference in Telangana Bhavan on Friday, KTR said he had no personal issues with Sanjay despite Sanjay speaking recklessly about his father earlier, he never responded. He stated that even today he is not saying anything against Bandi Sanjay, but is speaking with the thought that a criminal is a criminal, whoever they are.He said Bageerath was arrested only after the state Telangana high court refused bail and every girl in Telangana raised their voice against the govt.
The BRS leader said the CM, who is handling home portfolio should be ashamed for giving excuses that police were busy due to the Prime Minister’s visit and could not arrest the accused.KTR condemned the CM’s comments that the BRS leader and he was politicising the issue and they remained silent on behalf of the party on the sensitive issue of the girl and never politicized it, but were forced to speak after the CM’s criticism. The BRS working president demanded clarity on whether there was any instance in the country where a POCSO case accused was hidden for nine days. He mentioned reports that the accused was hidden in a hospital owned by a close associate of the CM and called for an investigation.KTR mentioned that after witnessing this, no girl in the state would dare to file a complaint against any forceful act. He praised the party’s General Secretary R.S. Praveen Kumar for alerting the govt and media on this entire case. He dared the CM, who alleged about drugs being found at his brother-in-law’s house, should file a case and investigate if he has the guts.ends/
