HYDERABAD: A woman and her paramour along with two others were arrested on Friday for allegedly killing her 30-year-old relative in Fateh Darwaza on December 20. Police said the four accused throttled Mir Basith Ali to his death over his property in Kamatipura.
On December 20, Basith Ali was found dead in his house. As he was found dead under suspicious circumstances, police referred his case to autopsy during when the forensic sleuths said he was throttled to death.
During the probe, police suspected the role of Basith Ali's relative Shakeera Begum, who was seeking a share in his property. Shakeera was frequently quarrelling with Basith Ali over the property.
Whe he allegedly threatened Shakeera with dire consequences, she hatched a plot with Syed Irfan, a property broker, to eliminate Basith Ali and prepare a fake gift deed. The accused killed Basith Ali and tried to project it as a case of suicide, police said. Shakeera had an illicit relationship with Irfan, police said.
