Cops prepare security blueprint to fortify Golconda before Ivanka Trump visit

Summit-2017 are expected to visit the city. The CM will host the dinner for GES-17 foreign delegates at the fort on November 29.

A co-ordination meeting of law and order, traffic police, Telangana state tourism and Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) was held at Golconda fort Sources said since the Prime Minister was hosting dinner for Ivanka and other foreign delegates at Taj Falaknuma, the state government chose Golconda as the venue for the state-sponsored dinner. However the United State’s secret service is yet to give the green signal to Ivanka for joining the dinner at the fort.

“We are now focusing on the security angle for the foreign delegates participating in GES. A plan is being chalked out to ensure that arrangements at the fort are foolproof,” said assistant commissioner of police, Asifnagar, K Ashok Chakravarthy. Deputy commissioner of police (west zone) A

along with officials of various departments organized meetings in Golconda on Wednesday.

It was decided that entry for visitors into the fort shall be restricted at least 48 hours before the scheduled programme. Security to all the 1,400 delegates visiting Golconda fort will be the priority and armed police force is being deployed across the fort. Several cultural shows exhibiting the history of Telangana and Hyderabad will be organized, and the much famous sound-and-light show will also be a part of the programme.
