Hyderabad: The Aeronautical Society of India (ASI) is all set to conduct a national conference on ‘Changing Scenario in Aerospace: R&D, Manufacturing and Certification' at the Engineering Staff College of India, Gachibowli, on April 17 and 18, 2026, along with its 74th annual general body meeting.
The two-day event will see
ISRO chairman Dr V Narayanan deliver the Prof Satish Dhawan Memorial Lecture on Day 2 of the conference that will bring together academicians, researchers, industry leaders, policymakers and students to discuss advances in aerospace research, modern manufacturing and certification systems.
Telangana IT and industries minister D Sridhar Babu will be the chief guest for the event, while NITI Aayog member Dr VK Saraswat and CSIR director general Dr N Kalaiselvi will be the guests of honour.
Former DRDO chief Dr G Satheesh Reddy and former ISRO chairman Dr S Somanath will also be participating in the conclave.
The ASI said that the aim of the conference is to strengthen collaboration between academia and industry. Sessions will focus on digital twins, AI-driven optimisation, additive manufacturing, automation, smart factories and certification standards, including airworthiness frameworks overseen by the Centre for Military Airworthiness & Certification (CEMILAC).
The programme will also feature lectures by leading figures from DRDO, Airbus and Boeing, along with technical sessions, invited talks, panel discussions and networking opportunities for professionals, researchers and students from across the country.
