Justice Ramesh Ranganathan of the AP high court on Tuesday adjourned to February 3 a writ petition filed by the managing partner of Karachi Bakery, a leading confectionary store in the city, complaining that the police of Madhapur police station have been harassing him.

HYDERABAD: Justice Ramesh Ranganathan of the AP high court on Tuesday adjourned to February 3 a writ petition filed by the managing partner of Karachi Bakery, a leading confectionary store in the city, complaining that the police of Madhapur police station have been harassing him.
He pointed out how the police personnel would enter his retail and manufacturing units and hold out threats.

The petitioner referred to certain family disputes and threats that his units in Banjara Hills and Hi tech city would be closed down.
he judge, who had earlier called for a report from the Hyderabad police commissioner, found that the report pointed only to civil disputes involving the petitioner and wondered the reason why the police had visited his units. The judge adjourned the matter to enable the concerned police officer to file an appropriate affidavit.
