Ahead of formation day, run to be held

Hyderabad: A 5km run for women over 30 years of age is being organised on June 1 in Husnabad in connection with the Telangana state formation day on June 2.
Siddipet police commissioner N Swetha urged women in Husnabad town and surrounding areas to participate in the run. Husnabad MLA V Sathish Kumar announced ₹1 lakh for the first prize and ₹60,000 for the second prize in the event.
Meanwhile, in Narayanpet district, ‘Kavi sammelanam’ would be organised in connection with the state formation day celebrations.The topic for the poetry event will be ‘Telangana spoorthi’. The last date for online submissions is May 29. tnn
