Raichur: Valmiki Prasannananda Puri Swamiji, seer of Rajanahalli Valmiki Gurupitha, suffered a mild heart attack during his visit to Raichur district on Wednesday. The seer reportedly complained of chest pain while travelling to Hutti to attend an event. Earlier in the day, he visited Bandolli village near Tintani bridge to inspect the proposed site for an educational institution of the mutt. He also held discussions with community leaders and later visited the Kanakaguru Peetha, where he offered prayers at the samadhi of late Sri Siddaramananda Puri Swamiji. From Hutti, he was immediately shifted to a private heart hospital in Raichur. After preliminary medical care, doctors advised that he be moved to Hyderabad for advanced treatment. Minister NS Boseraju, MLAs Basanagouda Daddal and Dr Shivaraj Patil, former MP BV Nayak, and several other dignitaries visited the hospital and consulted doctors about his condition. Sources from the mutt and medical authorities said the seer is currently under the care of a team of specialist doctors in Hyderabad. His condition is stable, and there is no cause for concern. Devotees and followers have been offering prayers for his speedy recovery.
