Two die of suffocation while cleaning septic tank

Kalaburagi: Two people died of suffocation after going to clean the septic tank of a house in Madrasanahalli, near Babalada Road, in the Hirapur area of Kalaburagi city, on Wednesday.House owner, Shivkumar Nandurakar,51, a resident of Madrasanahalli, and Ratan Hotkar,58, a resident of Indira Nagar, who was said to be his friend, died in the incident.It is said that Shivkumar Nandurakar and Ratan Hotkar were friends, who used to clean the septic tank from time to time. They went down to clean the septic tank on Wednesday morning, and at that time both of them died of suffocation and could not come out, according to the police complaint. An UDR case was registered in this regard at Ashok Nagar police station.
