Davanagere: District special Pocso court has postponed the trial of petition filed by Davanagere rural police seeking cancellation of bail sanctioned to Vachanananda Swami, expelled pontiff of Veerashaiva Lingayat Panchamasali Gurupeetha Harihar, on Wednesday.Responding to objection appeal and seeking further time to trial, submitted by SV Patil, counsel for the Swami, judge Sriram Narayan Hegade adjourned the trial to June 6. Swami has obtained anticipatory bail in the complaint filed against him under Pocso Act.Meanwhile Davanagere DC Gangadharaswamy GM has extended prohibition orders in Veerashaiva Lingayat Panchamasali peetha in Harihar till June 15 under section 163 of BNS. He had restricted meetings and press meets of any faction in the premises. However, the order is exempted for routine religious pooja and other activities.
