Man dies after daughter-in-law goes missing

Koppal: A woman has gone missing within two months of her marriage in Koppal city, while her father-in-law died of a heart attack after she left home, according to family members. Nagaraj, a resident of Gowri Angala in Koppal, married Sanjana from Sindhanur in Raichur district on Feb 8 with the consent of elders. On March 21, around 8.30pm, Sanjana told her husband she was unwell and asked him to bring medicines. Nagaraj stepped out to get tablets and returned home after 15 minutes, only to find that his wife was missing. Following this, Nagaraj, along with Sanjana's brother Ravi, searched Koppal, Raichur, Hosapete and Huligi, but no trace of her was found. Family members said Nagaraj's father, Khandeppa, who was distressed over the incident, suffered a heart attack and died on the same day. It is learnt that Sanjana has not returned to her parental home, and her brother Ravi is continuing search efforts. Nagaraj has lodged a complaint at Koppal Women police station.
