Kalaburagi police seize 3 kg of ganja, arrest four
Kalaburagi: The city police of Brahmapur station apprehended four individuals for illegally selling marijuana in a supermarket car park, and confiscated 3.2 kg of the substance.The arrested individuals are Srikanta Mallappa Sirase (24), Siddarama Kantu Pujari (19) from Tadakal village in Aland taluk, Durgesha Shankar Yadav (19) from Gollar Galli, Kalaburagi, and Roshan Pandit Sagara (19) from Mahagaon Cross.The seized items included 3.2 kg of ganja worth Rs 48,000 , a motorcycle valued at Rs 10,000, and four mobile phones worth Rs 15,000. The total amount of seized objects is approximately Rs 3 lakh. The suspects were subsequently placed in judicial custody.The operation was conducted under the supervision of DCPs Kanika Sikriwal, Praveen H Nayak, and Kalaburagi South sub-division ACP Sharanbasappa S Subedara. Brahmapur police inspector Somalinga Kiradalli and PSI Subhashchandra led the ground operations.Police commissioner Dr Sharanappa SD, later commended the team's work in apprehending the suspects.
