Kalaburagi: Kalaburagi City police commissioner Sharanappa SD informed that the Sub-Urban police arrested two notorious inter-state bike thieves, seized 14 bikes worth Rs 12.6 lakh, and handed over the accused to judicial custody. Rohit Kolarkar of Mahalakshmi Layout in the city filed a complaint at the Sub-Urban police station on Jan 22 that the bike parked in front of the house was stolen. According to this complaint, under the guidance of police commissioner Dr Sharanappa SD, the team conducted an investigation and arrested Mohammad Naseer, 24, a resident of Mominpur Gola Chowk in Kalaburagi city, and Mohammad Arif, 19, a resident of Millat Nagar, who were loitering suspiciously in the Kapanur Industrial Area of the city on Wednesday. The commissioner said that 14 bikes of various companieswere seized, and the accused were handed over to judicial custody. He lauded the work of the police officers and personnel who succeeded in arresting the notorious inter-state bike thieves and bringing them to judicial custody.
