Belagavi: Kikkeri Krishnamurthy, the president of Mysuru Mallige Kavi KS Narasimhaswamy Trust, said that, for the first time, a group singing training on the songs of KS Narasimhaswamy is being organised in Belagavi on March 10 and 11 by the renowned poet KS Narasimhaswamy Trust. Speaking to the media on Monday, he said that the trained artists will perform songs on March 11 at 4 pm at Sawai Gandharva Hall. Renowned artists will also perform dances to the songs of KS Narasimhaswamy. Senior journalist Sarjoo Katkar will deliver the lecture, he said. The training is free, and those interested should make good use of it. Regional commissioner KM Janaki, deputy commissioner Mohammed Roshan, and joint director of the Kannada & culture department BN Mallikarjuna Swamy will participate in the closing ceremony to be held on March 11. Deputy director of the Kannada & culture department Vidyavathi Bhajantri, DDPI Lilavati Hiremath, DDPU MM Kamble, BEO Ravi Bhajantri, Rani Channamma College principal SC Patil, BEd College principal Nirmala Buttal will participate, he said.
