Agartala: Tripura chief minister Manik Saha said preparations are underway for the upcoming Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in the state to ensure all eligible voters are included.
Addressing an organisational programme at Bhagat Singh Yuva Awas in Agartala, Saha said the SIR exercise is being implemented across the country. He added that officials have already begun preliminary work and are carrying out the necessary groundwork while awaiting the official notification to start the process.
He further said revision of electoral rolls is a routine exercise of the
Election Commission aimed at maintaining accuracy and inclusivity in voter lists.
