Dibrugarh: With the assembly elections on the horizon, a review-cum-convergence meeting for sector and zonal officers of Tinsukia district was held on Tuesday.
The session was held at the convention hall of Tinsukia College. It was chaired by district commissioner Sumit Sattawan. The session was attended by SSP Tinsukia Mayank Kumar and SSP Sadiya Jagadish Das, alongside a large number of sector and zonal officers drawn from both civil and police departments across the district.
Tinsukia district is home to six assembly constituencies — Sadiya, Doomdooma, Margherita, Digboi, Tinsukia and the newly formed Makum assembly constituency.
The meeting covered a wide range of critical areas essential to the smooth conduct of the upcoming elections. Discussions focused on election guidelines, manpower planning, and strategies to ensure a seamless voting experience for electors.
