Rs 1.37-lakh heroin seized in Arunachal’s Namsai raid
Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Police seized 26 grams of heroin worth around Rs 1.37 lakh from the residence of a 65-year-old man during a raid at Nongtow Khamti village in Namsai district, a senior official said on Tuesday.Acting on credible information about the alleged sale and purchase of narcotic substances, a police team led by Namsai SDPO Kengo Dirchi, along with Namsai police station officer-in-charge Inspector AK Pandey and other personnel, carried out the raid at the house of Chow Muthula Manchey at around 2.30pm on March 9.The operation was conducted under the supervision of Namsai SP Sange Thinley. During the search, carried out in the presence of independent witnesses, police recovered the heroin from a sling bag carried by the accused.
