Aizawl: Mizoram governor Gen. Vijay Kumar Singh participated in the Christmas celebration service at the Central Church of the Baptist Church of Mizoram (BCM) in
Aizawl on Thursday. During his address to the congregation, Singh extended heartfelt Christmas greetings to the people of Mizoram, underscoring the festival's embodiment of a humble life and its role in bringing light and hope to the world.
The governor emphasized the significance of actions over words, urging the community to demonstrate love through deeds during the festive season. He also highlighted Christmas as a time that consistently promotes peace and harmony.
In his message, Singh extended his best wishes for the upcoming New Year, encouraging the people of Mizoram to embrace hope, love, and faith as they move forward.
As part of the celebrations, a joyful Christmas Carol Service was held on the evening of Dec 19, at Lok Bhavan, organized in collaboration with the Aizawl West-I Area Masihi Sangati. Additionally, Lok Bhavan was opened to the public on Dec 24, 25, and 26, and will again welcome visitors on January 1, 2, and 3 as part of the New Year celebrations.
