Dibrugarh: State education minister Ranoj Pegu inaugurated a new administrative complex at Dibru College on Monday. The facility, named the Laxmi Narayan Kanoi Administrative Bhawan, marks a new chapter for one of Dibrugarh’s most prestigious educational institutions.
The state-of-the-art complex was constructed at a cost of 1.5 crore and was funded by the Jyoti Lalita Kanoi Foundation. The Kanoi family is legendary in the region for their philanthropic contributions to education, having previously established landmark institutions such as the DHSK College and MDKG Girls' College in Dibrugarh.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by state power minister and Dibrugarh MLA Prasanta Phukan and Dibrugarh University VC Jiten Hazarika, among others.
