Jorhat blast kills father & son, daughter critical
Dibrugarh: A powerful explosion in Jorhat’s Raja Maidam New Colony area left a 44-year-old man and his 7-year-old son dead, triggering panic among the residents.According to sources, the explosion is suspected to have taken place at a scrapyard, which deals with materials collected from the Army and Air Force. However, the exact cause of the blast is yet to be ascertained.While Nur Mohammad was killed on the spot, his son and daughter (8) sustained serious injuries and were rushed to Jorhat Medical College. However, the boy succumbed to his injuries, while the girl is still in a critical condition.Police have launched an investigation.
