Arunachal cops rescue minor from Guwahati
Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Police on Thursday rescued a minor from Guwahati who went missing on March 2, Itanagar Capital Region Naharlagun SP Nyelam Nega said, reports Joken Ete.The girl was tracked to the Fancy Bazar locality in Guwahati. Police said she boarded a bus from Naharlagun and had left home due to fear of scolding from her parents over poor academic performance. On reaching Guwahati, she came into contact with two suspected women who attempted to misguide her, raising suspicion of possible trafficking involvement, the SP said. Acting on the inputs shared by Arunachal Pradesh Police, a team from Pan Bazar PS rescued the girl. Police said the women fled upon noticing the police. The minor was safely brought back to Naharlagun and handed over to her parents, police said.
