Itanagar: One person was found dead while his younger brother remains missing after both were swept away in the Tissa river in Arunachal Pradesh’s Tirap district, an official report said on Thursday.The incident occurred on Wednesday when Wangthoa Wangpan and Laichat Wangpan of Chasa village were returning home after crossing the river. The duo, along with three others, had reportedly gone to Chopnu village to purchase meat. While returning with two cattle, three members of the group crossed the river safely. However, Wangthoa slipped and fell into the river, following which his brother jumped in to rescue him. Both were swept away by the strong current near Chajanpong point. While Wangthoa’s body was recovered, Laichat remains untraced.
