JIND: Residents of Uchana town said if Haryana government does not provide them better infrastructure in one week, they will file missing reports of local MLA and deputy chief minister Dushyant Chautala and Hisar BJP MP Brijendra Singh in the police station.

A bus stand that was inaugurated in 1995 by then chief minister Bhajan Lal has been lying abandoned for the past 27 years, they said. During this period, former Union minister Birender Singh and his wife Prem Lata have represented Uchana many times and their son Brijendra Singh is now representing the area, but nothing has been done, they added. Even deputy chief minister Dushyant Chautala has failed to address the genuine issues of the locals, they said. Now, the Uchana bus stand has become a parking spot for vehicles following the ignorance of officials and the Haryana government and the BJP-JJP led Haryana coalition government has even failed to maintain the available facilities let alone setting up of any new project, said protesters.

Apart from it, there are nine posts sanctioned for agriculture development officer (ADO) in the agriculture department but not even a single employee is not permanently deputed here to meet the farmer's demands, said protesters.

Sikkim Sheokand, one of the protesters, said: "We have given time till January 2 and thereafter, we will file missing reports of public representatives, including deputy chief minister and BJP MP. The one who will tell about the whereabouts of these representatives will be rewarded. People are facing several issues, but leaders are silent over genuine issues. The Haryana BJP-JJP alliance government has failed to meet the demands of the public," she added.
