Ponda: Two persons were injured in two separate accidents in Ponda on Sunday. Ponda police said that both have been admitted to a hospital but their names were not known.
Police sources said that a Maharashtra registered truck rammed into a hill near Shree Vishnu Somnath temple at Kerye Khandepar in Ponda early Sunday morning. "The driver of the truck lost control over the vehicle and went off the road, ramming into the hill," police sources said.
The driver and the cleaner of the truck were injured and rushed to Hospicio hospital. Police said as the victims were directly shifted to the hospital, they could not get their names.
In another accident a cyclist was hit by a truck at Tiska Usgaon on Sunday. Police said that the cyclist's name is Balu, a resident of Dayanand Nagar Dharbandora.
The cyclist was admitted to ID hospital at Ponda and has been discharged after being administered primary treatment on Sunday afternoon.
