Drugs worth Rs 8 crore seized from 5 passengers at Goa's Manohar airport
Margao: The air intelligence unit (AIU) of Goa customs at Manohar International Airport, Mopa, seized 24kg of hydroponic cannabis worth over Rs 8 crore from five passengers on Wednesday, officials said.
Of the five arrested, two arrived from Bangkok via Muscat and one from Abu Dhabi via Muscat. The substance tested positive for drugs using an NDPS field testing kit.
All five were arrested under the provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985. Further investigation is under way.
