Ghaziabad: Repair work at two substations in Surya Nagar led to a 12-hour outage in several areas of Ghaziabad on Thursday, and a transformer snag in Lakshman Garden left some areas without power supply for nearly 20 hours on Wednesday.
Supply was provided for about an hour in the morning, afternoon, and evening from an alternate source during the planned shutdown on Thursday.
According to residents, areas like Surya nagar, Bridge Vihar, Chandra Nagar, Ramprastha, Rampuri, etc were affected.
There were intermittent outages on Friday as well in parts of Vasundhara, Vaishali, Indirapuram, Defence Colony, and Shalimar Garden.
