Ghaziabad: The district president of the Hindu Yuva

Vahini

has been booked for a speech against a minority community after BJP’s convincing victory in the assembly polls on March 10.
An FIR was filed against

Tyagi

at Muradnagar police station under sections 153A (promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, race) and 505 (2) (public mischief) of the

IPC

and sections of the IT Act.
A video of Tyagi’s purported remarks was shared on social media, following which police stepped in.
“We came across a video on social media on Friday where a man identified as

Ayush Tyagi

was seen making inappropriate remarks about a community. The comments made by him were provocative and unacceptable.
Anyone giving provocative speeches will not be spared and legal action will be initiated against them,” said Akash Patel, ASP and circle officer (

Sadar

).
In the 50-second video, Tyagi is also heard asking the crowd to support the remarks he made. Police said initial investigation showed the speech was delivered on March 10, the day the election results were declared, outside his office.
“We are investigating. Arrest would be made soon,” the ASP said. Tyagi could not be reached for a comment.
