NEW DELHI: Ahmedabad Police has, basedon information from interrogation of SIMI/Indian Mujahideen activists,identified Khalid, Hasan and Shah Alam Ansari as three alleged bombers behindDelhi blasts. Besides the three, Qayamuddin, a computer-graphicdesigner from Vadodara and a ranking SIMI leader, was also present in Delhi twodays before the blast.While Ahmedabad cops had reached capital to nab him, hemanaged to give them a slip.Sources said that Delhi cops were headedfor Azamgarh to hunt for the troika. While they refused to give more details,the sources said ���We have got good support from our colleagues in MadhyaPradesh, Gujarat and Rajasthan���.Ahmedabad cops who are campingin the Capital are learnt to have copies of detailed interrogation report of the21 accused arrested for the July 26 attack on the Gujaratcapital.Commissioner of Police, Y S Dadwal, while speaking to mediaat police headquarters refused to say much. ���Blasts are not a cricketmatch where I should give you running commentary. Whatever is shared betweenGujarat police and us is confidential and should not be revealed,��� hesaid, fending off the media���s queries.
Subhan, Qayamuddinalong with Alamzeb Afridi are among the key SIMI activists who continue to eludepolice.The police are also poring over call detail records, lookingto see if they can catch a tell-tale conversation before or after the blaststook place.Police said that they have searched the batch number ofthe clocks and is seeking the help of forensics to get more clues on the use ofthe timing devices. ���Some of the traders who deal in wholesale sale ofthese brands of clocks in Delhi have been identified and police teams have beendispatched to get details,��� said a police officer. As was thecase in Jaipur where the shops from where the cycles were procured as bombcarriers, the police feels that tracing where the clocks were sold could yieldvaluable leads. ���We are banking on this information as it can help us intwo ways. First, we will be able to find an eyewitness and secondly, the area ofoperation can be mapped out,��� sources said.The cops pointedout that there had been some delay in accessing CDRs from various mobilecompanies. ���After the blasts, the offices of mobile companies were closed.We asked for the CDR on Saturday but it was only today that they have beenreceived. There is a strong possibility that the few mobiles were usedimmediately after the blasts and we are looking into the same,��� said anofficer.The police are also trying to see if it can crack the codesof Indian Mujahideen (IM) from terror-e-mails sent by members of the grouprecently. Police feels that there are around 12 persons involved in the blastsfrom planning, execution and sending the terror-email.Subhan isunderstood to be in hiding in Mumbai and a city police officer said the highlywanted terror suspect will not take the risk of leaving his hideouts after theDelhi blasts.A Delhi police team is also camping in Mumbai where thehard disk of the Kamran Enterprises Private Limited, is being examined.���We are seeking the help of Mumbai police in examining thehard disk of the computer of Kamram, whose wi-fi was used to send the terrormail,��� said a senior police officer of special cell.JointCommissioner of Police (special cell) Karnal Singh said, ���We are inconstant touch with our counterparts in Mumbai and Gujarat. Every leads arebeing examined but so far nothing has emerged which can be shared.��� Thepolice had detained around eight people for questioning on Sunday but most ofthem were released later. The profile of those picked up by the police weresimilar to that of techie Subhan Quereshi. A police team is also inJaipur where they are examining Shahbaz Husain, a Lucknow based businessman,arrested for May 13 blasts in Jaipur. Husain has revealed names of three men,who had also met Abdus Subhan Qureshi, when he visited Azamgarh in July thisyear, before the Ahmedabad blasts. The team is also interrogatingthe Azamgarh cleric Mufti Bashar. He, too, has provided cops with three nameswhich also tally with those handed over by Husain, said an officer.The final sketches haven���t been prepared and police said thatthey are likely to release the sketches of the suspects on Tuesday.PRO Rajan Bhagat said, ���We are seeking the help ofeyewitnesses and sketches will be released shortly.���
