NEW DELHI: The Class X Sanskrit paper on Saturday seemed to have evoked diverse reactions amongst students and teachers.
While some felt that the paper was as easy as it gets, others termed a couple of questions as "confusing."
"The paper was quite simple and all my students were happy with the way they had performed," said C Manoharan, principal St.Thomas School.
Ramgopal, Sanskrit teacher at CRPF School, said:
"There was nothing out of syllabus, but one of the questions in the grammar section required students to fill in the blanks from certain words that had been given in the paper. However, more than one option was fitting into the blanks, which left the students quite confused."
Speaking about the same question, Santosh Gurunath, a student of Apeejay School, Noida, added, Geeta Gaur, a teacher of Apeejay School, Noida felt that the level of the paper was more difficult than in the past couple of years.
"It was only something that above-average students would have been able to attempt properly," she said.
Pavnesh Kumar, CBSE controller of examinations, however, dismissed all adverse reactions.
