Routine leave of cops cancelled

New Delhi: Delhi Police cancelled routine leave for its personnel with immediate effect to maintain law and order amid concerns surrounding LPG cylinders' supply.All districts and units have been directed to not grant routine leave to any personnel until further orders. "In view of the prevailing law and order situation, no routine leaves should be granted to any personnel with immediate effect till further orders. Leaves shall be sanctioned only in genuine emergency cases, duly verified and approved by the sanctioning authority. All DCPs are requested to ensure meticulous compliance," the order read.Meanwhile, Delhi Police heightened security steps across LPG distribution points and godowns to prevent any untoward incidents. tnn
