Indian doctoral student shot inside car in US: Friends, teachers from AIIMS, Ramjas remember him as bright & jovial

Aaditya Adlakha, a doctoral student at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, was shot in a car on November 9 and died two days later in hospital. No arrests have been made till now. His research was described as novel and transformative. He had a bachelor's degree in zoology from Ramjas College and a master's degree in physiology from AIIMS. A memorial meeting was held at Ramjas College. His close friend is still coming to terms with his passing. Adlakha secured the second all-India rank in the MSc course and returned to India only once.

NEW DELHI: Zindagi yaadon ki gullak hai (Life is a piggy bank of memories) - this was something that Aaditya Adlakha was fond of saying. Ironically, he did not know that at the age of just 26 years, his life would also just become a memory to his family, friends and teachers.
The former student of Ramjas College and All India Institute of Medical Sciences, who was in his fourth year of doctoral studies at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in Ohio, US, was shot in a car on November 9 and died two days later in hospital.
