Singhu border murder case: Haryana Police detains one person

The body of an unidentified man with one of his hands chopped off was found near the farmers' protest site at Kundli in Haryana's Sonipat district on Friday. The deceased was aged around 35 years and the body was found tied to a metal barricade near the protest site, close to the Singhu border. Fire breaks out at house in Delhi's Kirari, no casualties
A fire broke out at a residential building, in which a factory was being allegedly run, in Delhi's Kirari area on Thursday afternoon, but no casualties were reported, a fire department official said. The official said that they received a call about the fire at the 70 foot road, Prem Nagar, Kirari at around 2.50p.m. and 12 fire tenders were sent to the spot.

Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai on Thursday said 2,500 civil defence volunteers will be deployed under the city government's “Red Light On, Vehicle Off” campaign starting October 18 for effective implementation of the drive to curb vehicular pollution. The campaign will be prominently carried out at 100 traffic intersections spread across 13 police districts in the city, he said, adding that a mock drill of the campaign will be conducted on Sunday.
