Hathras rape case live updates: FIR against Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and 200 Congress workers in Noida

Taking suo motu cognisance of the death of a Dalit woman, who was allegedly gang-raped in Hathras district, the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad high court issued notices to the Uttar Pradesh government on Thursday. Hathras gang-rape and murder: Victim's body taken to Uttar Pradesh from Delhi hospital

The body of the 19-year-old woman who died in Delhi's Safdarjung Hospital on Tuesday, a fortnight after being gang-raped in Hathras, was taken to Uttar Pradesh, police said. Earlier in the day, the victim's father and cousin sat on a dharna outside the Safdarjung Hospital.

Hathras gang rape: Delhi Mahila Congress workers stage protest, detained

Members of the Delhi Mahila Congress staged a protest at Vijay Chowk on Tuesday demanding justice for the Hathras gang-rape victim, who died at a hospital this morning, following which they were detained by police. In order to control incidents like Hathras gang-rape, we need to change the mindset of the society, Rekha Sharma, Chairperson, National Commission for Women (NCW) said on Tuesday."When this incident came to light, suo moto cognizance was taken.
