Fire at residential building in Vivek Vihar, no injuries or casualties
New Delhi: A disaster was averted after a fire broke out in the stilt parking of a residential building in east Delhi’s Vivek Vihar C block on Sunday afternoon. The massive blaze that killed nine people and injured a man had been reported in the B block of the same area last week.
According to the Delhi Fire Service (DFS), a call was received about the fire around 1.40 pm after which a fire tender with around six fire personnel rushed to the spot. Police had also received an alert at the same time, stating that a fire had broken out in an electricity junction box installed in the stilt parking of the building.
The fire was completely doused by 2.40 pm. No injury or casualty was reported.
