Entry of people authorised by the commission shall be allowed only by the security personnel deployed at these centres. Though use of mobile phones has been allowed inside the centres, the same is restricted to the designated areas as per instructions of returning officers/SEC.
The outcome of the battle for the reunified municipal corporation will be decided by Wednesday afternoon. Counting of votes for the 250 wards will begin at 8am and all the results are likely to be declared by 2-3pm.

After a hectic month-long campaign for the MCD elections, leaders of various parties were back to routine work on Tuesday. Chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, who had been switching between Delhi and Gujarat for the past one month for canvassing, attended a programme at Vidhan Sabha to mark Dr BR Ambedkar’s death anniversary, observed as Mahaparinirvan Diwas. Deputy CM Manish Sisodia was also present on the occasion. Delhi BJP president Adesh Gupta, meanwhile, was busy with the party’s two-day national officebearers’ meeting. He also attended some karyakartas’ Monday night. West Delhi MP Parvesh Sahib Singh Verma met workers from his constituency on Tuesday morning to prepare and plan for results day. In the evening, he spent time with his family playing indoor games.
