Delhi: Criminal's BMW driven by 20-year-old ends up in horrific crash

A BMW, owned by externed criminal Aas Mohammad, crashed into a divider near Delhi Gate after colliding with another vehicle. The 20-year-old driver, Sukhwinder Singh, sustained minor injuries, while a child passenger was unharmed. Police are investigating the cause of the accident, including possible speeding or reckless driving, and will conduct a medical examination on Singh.

NEW DELHI: A BMW car rammed a divider after hitting another car near Delhi Gate on Thursday afternoon. Police are investigating the incident to determine the cause, including speeding or reckless driving. The car belonged to Aas Mohammad, alias Ashu Pehalwan, a criminal who was externed from Delhi.The BMW driver sustained a minor injury in the incident. No pedestrians were injured. "The driver was identified as 20-year-old Sukhwinder Singh. His medical examination will be conducted to check if he was intoxicated," a senior police officer said. A Class VI student was also in the car at the time of the incident.The video shot after the incident revealed extensive damage to the BMW car, with its front bumper and bonnet severely impacted. The rods from the divider's railing pierced through the bonnet. The incident also led to traffic snarls in the area for a while. A case for rash and negligent driving was registered at IP Estate Police Station.
