BBA student held for dragging traffic cop on car bonnet
New Delhi: A 20-year-old BBA student was arrested after he allegedly hit and dragged a Delhi Traffic Police constable during a checking drive near Patiala House Court in central Delhi on Thursday.
The drive was being conducted by three traffic personnel near Tilak Marg Traffic Circle at Purana Qila Road around 5pm. When a grey car bearing a defective registration number with tinted windows was signaled to stop, the driver allegedly did not comply and hit the officer, who fell onto the bonnet of the vehicle.
“The car then proceeded to Dr Zakir Hussain Marg with the constable on the bonnet before he fell from the vehicle,” said a senior police officer.
An FIR was registered. The accused, identified as Satyajit (20), was arrested.
