NEW DELHI: A 73-year-old retired banker from Gulmohar Park was digitally arrested for nearly a month by scammers posing as Mumbai Police officers. The man was duped of Rs 23 crore.The victim reportedly received a phone call on Aug 1 from a woman claiming to be a telecom company executive. She alleged that his mobile number was being misused for illegal activities and warned that a police case was being registered against him.On Aug 4, he received another call from someone identifying himself as a Mumbai Police officer. The caller accused him of involvement in a drug trafficking case and placed him under "digital arrest".
