Now, bomb threats target courts in Rudraprayag & Tehri

Dehradun: District courts in Rudraprayag and Tehri Garhwal on Tuesday morning received bomb threat emails on their official IDs, a day after similar threats were sent to courts in Nainital and Uttarkashi.In Rudraprayag, local police led by SP Niharika Tomar, reached the court premises. "The police personnel, comprising the bomb disposal squad, frisked the whole court premises and stopped movement at the entrance gate only. However, nothing was found on the premises. Police and local intelligence units were deployed at the court to ensure security," the district police said in a statement.Meanwhile, in Tehri Garhwal, police carried out rigorous checking and frisking at the court. "No suspicious item was found, but the police remain on high alert. A probe has been launched to identify and track the perpetrators," said Tehri CO Mahesh Lakheda.On Monday, district courts in Nainital and Uttarkashi had received similar bomb threat emails. Despite exhaustive frisking, authorities did not find any hazardous materials.
