: The
Cricket Association of Uttarakhand
(CAU) has announced the squad for the first four matches of the upcoming Vijay Hazare tournament. The list includes 15 selected players and six other players who have been kept on stand-by. The domestic one-day
cricket
competition will commence from September 24, 2019, and continue till October 25, 2019.
Unmukt Chand will be the skipper of the state team and former Indian cricketer
Gursharan Singh
has been named as the head coach of the side.
Those included in the squad are — Unmukt Chand (C), Tanmay Srivastava, Karanveer Kaushal, Vaibhav Panwar, Avnish Sudha, Tanush Gusain, Saurabh Rawat, Deepak Dhapola, Rahil S Shah, Mayank Mishra, Aditya Sethi, Dikshanshu Negi, Ashish Chaudhary, Sunny Rana and Dhanraj Sharma. Meanwhile, those who have been kept on stand-by include — Pradeep Chamoli, Harshit Bisht, Arya Sethi, Aryan Sharma, Akash Madhwal, and Vaibhav Bhatt. The other support staff members will be — Ashish Winston Zaidi (bowling coach), Danny Perera (physio), Prashant Pujjar (trainer) and Kumar Thapa (manager).
Uttarakhand will be playing its first match of the tournament against Chandigarh (a first timer in Vijay Hazare tournament) on September 25.
